Family Day Visit:

4 hour visit includes: pony ride, pet the bunny, feed geese and ducks, visit the chickens, self-guided treasure hunt, walk around the farm, tour of inn, discussion of life in the 1700′s and farm chores.

For older children : guided wildlife nature walk, hiking, orienteering, wilderness survival, learn to drive a 4×4. 

6 hours includes lunch and children participate in making of 1700′s corn bread served with honey and butter 

All children must be accompanied by an adult, and farm visits are by appointment only 

Sample Menu:

  • Chicken with dried cranberries & Walnuts
  • Baked macaroni with cheese (Thomas Jefferson Recipe)
  • Corn bread
  • Custard with apple chutney
  • Apple cider

Non -historic menu: Sirloin burger, chopped tomatoes, spinich and swiss cheese, assorted home made desserts

Rates:

  • 4 hour visit: 1 adult & 1 child $75, 2nd child $10
  • 6 hour visit additional $25 for cooking participation and lunch

Experience life on a 1700′s working farm! Special activities for children 3-17. We offer pony rides, adorable small farm animals, a self-guided treasure hunt that takes you on a tour of the farm, guided nature walks along gorgeous local trails, hiking, orienteering, wilderness instruction, colonial recipes, cast iron cooking instruction, deep tissue muscle massage therapy, farmstay activities (everyday chores of taking care of the animals).

Hayrides, applepicking, antiques and horse back riding lessons near by – we help with all arrangements.
