About the Farm

Grace Note Farm Inn & Trail Riding Facility

Grace Note Farm offers a unique New England experience. Combining the loves of the inn’s founder, Virginia Sindelar, Grace Note offers warm hospitality in a historic atmosphere. You’ll feel transported by the sights, sounds, and delicious home-baked smells of an earlier time in America. Virginia will prepare meals that Thomas Jefferson enjoyed, and introduce you to her love of horses and other animals. (Ask her about her “past life,” and you’ll find out this quiet innkeeper is a graduate of Juliard School of Music in NYC, and an accomplished flutist!)

Miles of nature trails are just steps from the front door at the inn she has lovingly restored. Explore them on foot, by bike, or on horseback. A love of teaching led Virginia to begin a children’s education program at Grace Note, offering both field trip experiences for students and farmstay offerings for guests.

Kids love the fresh eggs from our flock of chickens, picking fresh vegetables from our new garden, learning to cook colonial American style, and of course just hanging out with Peanut the pony and Eyeore the donkey.

Adults love the peaceful quiet of the farm, and the conveniences of on-site therapeutic massage and three fantastically delicious gourmet meals. Stay here for the duration of your visit, or take a quick jaunt into town for antiquing. Everything you want is right here at Grace Note Farm!
